Projects 2021-2022
The Ciudad del Saber Foundation, through the Ingenia Cultural Fund, supported the projects Dejarse Caer by Milko Winston Delgado Pineda, Travesías por la memoria by Maritza Vernaza and Escuela de Gastronomía Circular by Andrea Daniela Pinzón, selected after a rigorous evaluation process. The committee, made up of leading specialists from the Foundation and the cultural sector, highlighted the importance of these initiatives to strengthen the cultural ecosystem and make innovative projects visible. The beneficiaries received logistical support, accompaniment, spaces and economic support, and will successfully execute their projects during the first half of 2022, thus promoting creativity in the community.

Dejarse Caer
A contemporary performance piece that began with an investigation of movement, where a technical exploration was carried out based on circus fundamentals (aerial dance with harness and juggling), and with material elements (tires, concrete, pulleys, tanks). The research resulted in the staging from the creation of a movement sequence designed for a specific space. Three activities were carried out: an open rehearsal, a presentation for the Ciudad del Saber community, and a general presentation attended by about 80 people.

Escuela de gastronomía circular
A five-week course provides the tools on how to practice sustainability from gastronomy, thus reducing the environmental impact. This project was aimed at entrepreneurs, cooks, educators, students and consumers related to the world of gastronomy.
The result of this course was presented in a Street Food type event called “Pop-Up Circular” prepared by the participants of the workshop. This took place on May 7 in galley 214, Ciudad del Saber Urban Market area.

Travesías por la memoria
A tour that presents a revaluation of Panama's historical heritage, territory and history, while crossing the Canal Zone, through song, poetry and performance. Travesías por la memoria (Journeys through memory) summarizes Panamanian history from the construction of the railroad to the handover of the Panama Canal to Panamanian hands in 1999.
These tours were presented during the week of May 3 to 8, aimed at Mi Bus users on the Albrook Terminal - Ciudad del Saber route.
A staging that takes place inside a Metro Bus on the Albrook - Ciudad del Saber route. During the tour, the character interacts with the public through song and poetry, using as a common thread different events and characters from the history of Panama, from the construction of the railroad to the handover of the Canal to Panamanian hands. The project seeks to reflect and bring a revaluation of the historical heritage and the territory that is crossed during the tour.
