Lakes Park
Green areas inviting to recreation
In 2014, the Fundación Ciudad del Saber began the transformation of these ten hectares through an urban, tree planting and landscaping plan. The goal was to create a recreational area taking advantage of the natural flow of water that flows down from the reserve to form the lakes. Today, the Lakes Park is a public space open to our community and visitors. Around it, there are more than 15 restored buildings that today are offices of international organizations, academic programs, technology companies and creative industries.

Founders Square
In the heart of the Parque de los Lagos is located the Founders' Plaza, a special place to celebrate the vision of the creators of the Ciudad del Saber. In commemoration of their legacy, Panamanian artist Brooke Alfaro was commissioned to make two sculptures that represent them: The first, a replica of an armchair used by Fernando Eleta for 65 years. The second, the yacht “Casimiro”, Gabriel Lewis Galindo's favorite, where he began his public life and where he shared one of his passions, the sea, especially the archipelago of Las Perlas represented by small grass islands at the beginning of the park. The yacht sails in the direction of the armchair and, in the wake, leaves letters representing knowledge and education.
