Ciudad del Saber brings together various institutions, regional agencies and non-governmental organizations with the common goal of improving the quality of life in Panama and the region.
It also serves as headquarters for leading international organizations, such as the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Save the Children, Plan International, the OAS and the OEI, among others.
United Nations Interagency HUB
In 2006, at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the approval of the United Nations, the designation of Ciudad del Saber as a UN Inter-Agency Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean was confirmed.
Since then, Ciudad del Saber has been working to facilitate the aspiration of the United Nations to operate in an effective, efficient, coherent and coordinated manner, in a common management space and framework, always Delivering as One.
