Knowledge at the service of Panama and the world

Ciudad del Saber is not just a place, it is a history that is intertwined with that of the Panama Canal. Where the imposing U.S. military base of Clayton once stood, today an oasis of knowledge and collaboration flourishes.

Thanks to Decree Law No. 6 of 1998, 120 hectares were transferred to the Fundación Ciudad del Saber and transformed into an epicenter of scientific, technological and educational research, boosting Panama's economic and social development.

An expert team that drives the Foundation

For the Fundación Ciudad del Saber, governance is a key axis for sustainability, as it sets the direction in which the organization walks and makes it possible to fulfill the other four pillars. A solid and transparent management structure is fundamental for the fulfillment of FCdS's high standards.

The organization's corporate governance is led by a multidisciplinary and expert group composed of leaders from different industries and areas who make up the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of the Fundación Ciudad del Saber is one of its fundamental pillars, not only organizationally but also philosophically. Presidida por Juan David Morgan, está compuesta por profesionales fundamentales de ámbitos académico, empresarial, gubernamental y legislativo que garantizan un aporte de calidad a la dirección y el seguimiento de los objetivos de la FCdS.

Executive Presidency

Carries out institutional representation functions both locally and internationally, being responsible for public relations and high-level inter-institutional strategic alliances. Oversees the general compliance with the mission of the Ciudad del Saber Foundation and reports to the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors on the progress in implementing strategic plans and operational results.

Responsible for overseeing the team of vice presidencies and directors, as well as managing the operations of the Ciudad del Saber Foundation, establishing policies for the entity's administrative and operational processes. Monitors the progress and execution of the institution's strategic plans and ensures the necessary adjustments are made to align the organization with this planning, ensuring the achievement of the established goals and objectives.
