Fostering innovation through culture and creativity
At the Fundación Ciudad del Saber, we believe that social innovation through culture and creativity is essential for a prosperous, inclusive, democratic and sustainable future, both for Panama and the world.
For that reason, we have created the Ingenia Cultural Fund, an investment mechanism in the cultural and creative sector of our country.
We contribute to and strengthen Panama's cultural and creative sector.
Who can apply to the Ingenia Cultural Fund?
The fund seeks to stimulate and strengthen the country's cultural and creative sector, as well as citizen participation in the formulation of social innovation projects that contribute to the following strategic lines:
Generate social innovation
Developing knowledge activities, as well as through the strengthening of creative and entrepreneurial capacities, providing solutions or contributions to social problems with national scope.
Facilitating citizen participation
Through the generation of participatory meeting spaces, as well as the development and implementation of a program of community activities.
Intervening spaces of the Foundation
Through the design of cultural and creative activities that energize the campus.
Call for applications
The call period for the Ingenia Cultural Fund will begin on October 29, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until December 1, 2024, at 12:00 a.m.
Projects submitted before or after these days and times will not be considered for the call. Check the rules and how to apply to the Ingenia Cultural Fund, through the Call tab, where you will find all the necessary information to apply for your project.
Important dates:
- 10/29/2024: Launch of Ingenia Cultural Fund call for proposals.
- 10/29/2024 to 12/01/2024: Call for proposals period.
- 18/12/2024: Announcement of selected and non-selected projects.
- February to June 2025: Execution of selected projects.
How to submit your project to the Ingenia Fund?
If you are unable to complete and submit the form from the platform, contact us at comunicaciones@cdspanama.org. Then you can pick up a printed form at the offices of the Fundación Ciudad del Saber (building 104) and deliver it in person to the Culture and Community Management. Be sure to justify why you cannot complete the form online.

Complete the application form, detailing your technical proposal, budget and including the required attachments.
Send form
Once completed, press the submit button for your application to be considered.
Confirmation email
You will receive an email confirming receipt of your application to the Ingenia 24/25 Cultural Fund.
Letter of introduction
If your proposal is selected, you will be notified by email. You will have three business days to accept the conditions of the fund and send your letter of acceptance.
Winners
Once the beneficiaries send their acceptance letters, we will announce the winning projects on our social networks and outreach channels.

Frequently asked questions about the Ingenia Fund
Once the form has been sent, you will receive an email informing you that the form has been sent.
No, projects may not be submitted by persons under 18 years of age.
Ideally, the contact e-mail address should not be changed, so it is important to use one that you usually use. If you change it, you must inform the e-mail: comunicaciones@cdspanama.org
A project may be disqualified for:
- According to its legal nature, not being eligible to receive the fund.
- Failure to comply with the basic requirements of the application form.
- Failure to submit its application within the established call period.
The evaluation committee will be comprised of five people:
- A representative of the City of Knowledge Communications team.
- A representative of the City of Knowledge Innovation team.
- A representative of the Ciudad del Saber Administration team.
- A guest resident or active member of the Ciudad del Saber community.
- A guest from the cultural and creative sector of Panama.
No, the form must be completed once. For that, you can view the questions on the form and prepare all attachments and documents before you start filling it out.
Through email, we will send you a message telling you that you have been selected and the conditions to accept the fund. Beneficiaries will have 3 business days to confirm their participation in Ingenia.
In addition to the economic support, the Foundation will support the development of the activities with logistical support and space. The scope and approval of this support will be communicated to those selected prior to the signing of the agreement between the parties.
Natural persons may submit only one project. The same person may be part of another project and present it under the figure of alliance or collective.
No, the beneficiary of a project cannot reapply to the Fund the following year after being selected. The beneficiary must wait for at least one call season to reapply to the Fund.
Sanitary measures will depend on the moment of development and as dictated by the Ministry of Health.
The selected project will have three (3) business days to confirm its participation or not in the Fund. If the beneficiary accepts and then does not execute the project, he/she will have to return the money to the Foundation and will not be able to present for two years to the Fund.
