The Regional Office for the Region of the Americas is part of a global network of offices in over 65 countries. Our Panamá city based office provides support and coordination to 12 country offices in the region: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru and Paraguay. We have a dedicated, passionate and diverse team of over 50 employees who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This can be achieved only if children’s best interests are at the heart of everything we do, and if children themselves actively participate in the process.
•Assist in the support of the Social Media Accounts of the Regional Office & provide support to country offices in order to ensure branding guidelines are followed. (Twitter , Facebook)
•Creation of the weekly newsletter
•Translations of texts in English and Spanish, Portuguese and French desirable
•Creates graphics for social media purpose
•Provides support on designing campaigns
•Video edition when needed
•Support the organization of events: guest calls, press conferences, news media packages, among others.
•Development of written messages to media
•Support for event photography and video
•Preparation of news articles, stories, key messages, questions and answers.
•Handling digital video cameras and editing (preferable)
•Administration of social networks
Travel and Location
The position is located in Plan’s Regional Office in Panama, City of Knowledge.
Spanish Level Required
Fluency in English and Spanish languages (full bilingual)

Plan International does not pay for internships. The cost associated with the internship must be borne by the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students; or by the student, who will have to obtain financing for subsistence and make his/her own arrangements for travel, accommodation, etc. Plan International will cover the transportation expenses to and from work in Panama.
Consistent with our Child Protection Policy, the successful candidate must receive clearance by a police background check, including the vulnerable sector screen.
