Strengthening Science, Technology and Innovation in Central America and the Dominican Republic
The Central American region and the Dominican Republic mark a milestone in the strengthening of open and inclusive Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) , with a key event that will bring together authorities from the National Science and Technology Bodies (ONCYT) and other strategic actors of the regional ecosystem.
This meeting will provide a platform to analyze the challenges and opportunities of the region in STI, highlighting its impact on academia, the state, civil society and the productive sector. In addition, as part of the event, a letter of intent will be signed based on the Regional Framework for Open and Inclusive STI Policies , consolidating the agreements reached between the signatory countries.
The event is part of the project: Central American Policy for Open STI and the mechanisms to measure its impact on society , coordinated by a consortium of key institutions in the region: SENACYT Panama, the City of Knowledge Foundation, CSUCA, SICA and CTCAP, with the support of the International Development Research Centre of Canada (IDRC).
