A journey into history with the children of El Lunario

Publicado 27 Mayo 2021

In an effort to encourage visits to museums, the City of Knowledge Foundation generated an alliance with the interactive cultural center El Lunario. A group of 15 children visited the house Museum -located in building 173- and toured its facilities.

Querube Alvarado, responsible of El Lunario, expressed her institution's interest in children learning the importance of museums and that they could put into context what the City of Knowledge is.

Visitors were between the ages of 2 and 5 years old; all of them are part of the music and art program, generated by El Lunario, in partnership with The Casco School.

Once they had explored the areas of the Casa Museo, the children received educational materials, including drawings with content focused on learning about the history of the buildings, by the City of Knowledge Foundation team.

Next Saturday, May 29, another activity will be held, open to the public, called "Paint and assemble cardboard models" in recognition of the month of museums. It will be opened from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will have a limited capacity of 16 participants per group, to preserve the biosafety measures recommended by health entities.
