Bring your recyclable materials
The City of Knowledge has a Recycling Center where everyone is welcome to bring their recycling materials: paper, cardboard, plastic containers, glass, aluminum, and tetrapak containers (clean and residue-free), as well as electronic scraps, batteries, and oil.
The center receives, classifies, stores, and sells those materials to companies that salvage or recycle them. It is a nonprofit activity carried out by the FAS Panama NGO with the support of the City of Knowledge Foundation.
One Saturday of every month, the center organizes a day during which materials are classified with the help of dozens of volunteers. The center offers information regarding which materials can be recycled in Panama and how they must be prepared and delivered to be sold and salvaged. If you would like to become a volunteer, do not hesitate to call us.
