JOB TITLE:  Communications & Marketing Manager

 

DEPARTMENT: Marketing, Admissions & Communications

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Admissions and Marketing

Job Purpose

To lead the Marketing & Communications Department together with the Director of Admissions and Marketing (DAM); to understand the needs of internal and external stakeholders; and to develop marketing and communications strategies and activities which deliver the key school messages in a timely, relevant and engaging way.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Communications

·       Develop and execute the school’s content strategy and ongoing pipeline of content that can be used year-round to inspire, engage and inform all relevant internal and external stakeholders including parents, students, staff and alumni.

·       Execute the school content strategy across all school communication channels including News & Blogs and social media.

·       Build the school online community through social media, driving both followers and engagement (shares and comments).

·       Ensure that all current parents are kept up to date on school news and information.

·       Develop the photography and videography repository for the school, ensuring the highest standards are adhered to in line with global guidelines and school aesthetic quality.

·       Provide appropriate leadership, coaching and best practice sharing to other members of the MAC and wider school team.

·       Take a proactive approach to personal development planning using company toolkits and procedures as appropriate.

Marketing

·       Develop the school brand equity and USP within local market - parent and competitor context - and aligned to the Nord Anglia brand position, together with the school message house and brand style guide.

·       Implementation of the school brand style guide to ensure consistency and quality of positioning and visual identity in all school collateral including core Nord Anglia brand and marketing campaigns such as Juilliard, MIT, UNICEF and Global Campus.

·       Take the lead in website development and paid media to demonstrate leadership for the school at every stage of the parent online research journey.

·       Develop the PR and media strategy for the school, stepping in to support media enquiries and crisis communications as appropriate.

·       Collaborate with the development of the annual marketing plan for the school.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS-Essentials

·       Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area

·       Minimum of 5 years working in marketing and communications roles with demonstrated success

·       Bilingual in Spanish and English (both oral and written)

·       Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage a team to achieve desired outcomes

·       Experience of writing across a diverse range of on-and-off-line media and a deep understanding of how to optimize content for each

·       Experience in monitoring competitor market activity

·       Experience of contributing to and managing social media platforms

·       Photography and videography skills

·       Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks

·       Experience in using digital and social media tools to influence the sales life cycle

·       Strong aesthetic eye in evaluating collateral – both in terms of design and in terms of driving effective behavior change
