Regional Project Manager
ROLE PURPOSE
Ensure that the regional project under his/her management is implemented on time, under the budget, with the scope and high quality in line with donor and SCI´s quality and operational standards. Provide day-to-day managerial oversight to project implementation and ensure cross-functional coordination at country and regional level.
Post holder will be managing a regional project with an Education in Emergency thematic focus that will be implemented in 5 countries in LAC. Post holder will have institutional representation of the project assigned before public bodies at the national and regional level, when applicable.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
REQUERIMIENTOS
To be successful, you will bring/have:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field (economics, business management, social science, among others). Preferably with a post-graduate or master degree in project management, humanitarian aid, education in emergencies, or migration and displacement.
Substantial field experience in the humanitarian aid and development sector working in a senior humanitarian operations role.
At least 3 years of experience leading regional humanitarian projects.
Preferably with experience working in projects addressing migration & displacement context. Relevant work experience implementing projects with ECHO funding and knowledgeable of donor regulations and compliance.
Strong understanding of humanitarian context and application of humanitarian principles
Thorough understating of emergency response sector and processes to achieve the result effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative relations at all levels of management / leadership, must be capable of summarising and communicating complex information and data.
Effective leadership skills to support the Country and Regional senior management teams.
In depth understanding of how to operate safely and securely in humanitarian response.
Skills to manage and operate in a pressured and changing environment.
Excellent Spanish and English language skills,
Ability to be flexible and to travel around the region, as and when necessary (up to 50% travel)
Commitment to Save the Children’s vision, mission and values.
