What is HULATAM?
The Latin American location of Harrisburg University of Science and Technology offers STEM-focused degree programs that lead to great careers. Located in the City of Knowledge on the outskirts of Panama City, the Harrisburg University - Latin America (HULATAM) offers an accessible, high-quality, and high-demand STEM education. Leveraging their robust executive education format, HULATAM allows students in the Latin American region to obtain US accredited degrees without having to leave the region. Professors from the Harrisburg campus come to Panama to provide in-person classes to students in the region. Consequently, we are excited about the opportunity to inspire the region's students to realize their potential, through a Harrisburg University education, to improve their communities.
The Project Coordinator supports Harrisburg University Latin America’s (HULATAM) through business development, managing stakeholder relationships and project management. This role will support the planning, execution and administrative efforts ensuring success in this crucial program. This individual will support the HULATAM Rector by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing, and coordinating operational activities.
To excel in this position, the Project Coordinator must:
Have excellent problem-solving skills, be resourceful and take the initiative as needed.
Possess a solid understanding and knowledge of the university, its programs, and initiatives.
Be able to work independently in an organized manner to ensure responsibilities/tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Possess excellent communication skills and act in a professional manner when dealing with all aspects of the university and established or potential partners/constituents.
Be able to assist the rector with stakeholder engagement and cultivating relationships with government, business, and academic constituents. This includes attending meetings and conducting follow-ups in a professional manner.
Be able to assist the Rector with business development, by closing deals with various stakeholders as they pertain to student enrollment, funded research, and other income producing activities.
Possess strong project management skills to organize the stakeholder, business development, and administrative activities
The job duties of the Project Coordinator include, but are not limited, to the following:
Supports planning and coordination of meetings, events and program endeavors taking place at the university and at stakeholder organizations.
Provides support for integration of HULATAM with internal members of the university community, i.e., students, faculty, and staff.
Develops documentation and reporting to capture accomplishments and successes against Key Performance Indicators and develops plans to continuously improve processes.
Maintains budget and track expenditures/transactions
Processes invoices in a timely manner
Manages communications effectively through social media, responses to inquiries through HULATAM website and phone inquiries and apply appropriate means of communication within the team and external parties
Schedules and organizes meetings/events and maintains agenda
Ensures all coordination including technology, layout, catering, and any specific requirements are thoughtfully planned for in advance of the events and leading up to the time of the events and for the duration of them.
Produces, reviews and/or maintains written content (web, marketing, and social media) associated with HULATAM offerings.
REQUERIMIENTOS
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Undergraduate degree required; MS preferred.
Successful Experience: Project management, public speaking, sales. Extensive project experience or academic preparation is highly desirable.
Fully proficient bilingual (Spanish/English) including professional writing, reading, and speaking.
Proficient in MS Office and social media related tools
Demonstrated superior communications skills, including comfortability engaging with and presenting to business and government leaders.
Exceptional organization and planning skills for not only personal tasks, but with team coordination. Must be detail-oriented and efficient.
Must be willing and able to travel internationally as needed to support HULATAM business needs.
Ability to work effectively with university faculty, staff and community leaders.
