Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Under the overall supervision of the DG’s Special Envoy for the Venezuela Response and the direct supervision of the Head of Interagency Coordination Unit, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

1.     Collaborate in activities of follow-up, coordination, and permanent monitoring of the implementation of the project, to guarantee compliance with the initially defined deadlines and objectives.

2.     Prepare draft narrative, financial reports (interim and final) of the project.

3.     Cooperate in the financial review and project monitoring through SAP.

4.     Prepare and request payments, quotes, and other administrative tasks, under the supervision of project coordination.

5.     Collaborate with the Human Resources area in the development of consulting contracts that may be necessary for the framework of the project.

6.     Contribute to the preparation of documents and information, whenever necessary, on issues related to the project.

7.     Contribute to the periodic review of the guidelines, reports, and manuals prepared by the IOM Thematic Areas Headquarters linked to the project.

8.     Support the Unit Coordinator with the liaison with government, private, and civil society institutions involved in the implementation of the project.

9.     Participate in seminars, workshops, meetings, and other events scheduled by and on behalf of IOM.

10.  Attend, only if required, the reception at the airport of people entering the country under the project.

11.  Maintain updated statistics on assisted cases and prepare reports when required.

12.  Participate in the Organization of events, assisting in logistics and travel arrangements.

13.  Perform other duties as required.
