Request for Proposals - AUDIOVISUAL CREATIVE CONSULTANCY FOR THE STATE OF THE WORLD´S VOLUNTEERING REPORT (SWVR) 2021

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that promotes
volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide. UNV contributes to peace
and development by supporting Member states to leverage volunteerism as a means of
implementation and people’s engagement to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development. Every 3 years since 2011, UNV makes available to decision makers, and
makers and operators of public policies, its State of the World´s Volunteering Report
(SWVR). This year, in its fourth edition, the SWVR explores and documents the value and
contribution of volunteering to the social contract. From the context of the pandemic, the
SWVR unveils emerging models of volunteering, particularly those that provide
opportunities for collaboration across society, and how these impact the changing roles
and relationships of governments and individuals in the face of the needs of the 21st
century for tackling inequality and exclusion.

UNV seeks the service of an Audiovisual Creative consultancy firm to develop the creative
concept and 4 videos.

The first one will play the role of the main video (50 – 60 seconds)
and aims to showcase clearly the 3 volunteering models of social contract for building
equal and inclusive societies, which are presented in the report (deliberative governance,
co-production of public services and programmes, and social innovation) in an
understandable and dynamic way. Indeed, the main recommendations for decision
makers.

The second video aims to include extracts from the “main video” (models and
recommendations) and briefly presents the 3 cases included in the report (Trinidad and
Tobago, Colombia and Ecuador) from the testimonies of the initiative's leaders and
volunteers. (max. 3 min).

The third and fourth videos should also present extracts from the “main video” (models
and recommendations) and briefly present 3 best practices that illustrate the report's
models, also from the testimonies of the initiative's leaders and volunteers. One video will
present the best practices in Peru (max. 3 min) and the other those identified in Guatemala
(max. 3 min)


REQUERIMIENTOS

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CONTRACTOR AND KEY PERSONNEL

• Tertiary qualification and at least 5 years’ proven experience in creative audiovisual production, including
voice-over, music creation – ad hoc for specific campaigns- and animation frame by frame.
• Tertiary qualification and at least 5 years’ proven experience in user-driven product development (focus on
audiovisual content).
• Proven experience in developing social communications campaigns and other similar products, in a creative
and innovative way, for companies, NGOs UN entities and/or others.
• At least 5 years’ proven experience in developing creative arts and audiovisual products to show complex
processes in an engaging way.
• Previous experience with the UN desirable.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work in English (C1 level).


FIRM PROFILE:
- Legally Constituted.
- It is required that the firm poses at least five (5) years of experience providing Audiovisual Communication
services, Creativity Consultancy Services, Art Direction and Production services.
- Experience in developing social communication campaigns or similar products.


KEY PERSONNEL:
Title: Creative director
Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, communications, or similar. Post graduate
degree highly valuable
General Experience: 5 years minimum
Specific Experience: Experience performing or managing a range of creative positions. Experience in Digital
Marketing, Creative writing, and Advertising
Required Languages: English (C1) and Spanish


Title: Art Director
Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in arts & sciences, advertising, or similar. Post graduate degree, highly
valuable
General Experience: 5 years minimum
Specific Experience: Experience performing or managing a range of creative positions.
Required Languages: English (C1) and Spanish


Title: Producer
Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in audiovisual communications, advertising, or similar
General Experience: 3 years minimum
Specific Experience: Experience performing or managing a range of creative motion graphics, keyframe and
animation.
Required Languages: English (C1) and Spanish
