Publicado 4 Diciembre 2020

'Science for everyone' is the result of an exchange between the leaders of the main science, technology and innovation organizations in the country, who fully agree that the dissemination of scientific knowledge is the bridge for making specialized knowledge accessible and to promote sustainable development for all.

This is a large discussion that shows that the '4 D Mentoring Program' is a commitment to strengthen the skills of participating scientists / researchers in how to tell science and disseminate scientific knowledge, especially on issues related to biodiversity, climate change, public health, as a key bet to achieve sustainable development.

To show and promote this exchange, we share with you a 45-minute conversation about the importance of investing in scientists and researchers so that they are popularizers and disseminators of scientific knowledge in Panama. The following participated in the discussion: Milciades Concepción, Minister of the Environment of Panama (MiAMBIENTE); Linda Maguire, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP); Víctor Sánchez Urrutia, Secretary General in charge of the National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT); Oris Sanjur, Acting Director of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI); and Jorge R. Arosemena, Executive President of the City of Knowledge Foundation; together with the scientific popularizer Pere Estupinyá.
