At CdS you�"ll get information to study in the USA

City of Knowledge will begin construction work on the American Center - an advisory center for university studies in the United States - which will be located at La Plaza.

The center will offer a rich educational program on cultural, historical, scientific and technological topics in the United States, especially those related to Panama. It will also host workshops, courses, college fairs, US program alumni activities, and cultural events, such as film screenings and international conferences. In addition, it will be the coordination center for students and professors from the United States who visit the City of Knowledge through the Knowledge in Panama initiative.

“In what was Fort Clayton, the United States Embassy and the City of Knowledge now coexist. I believe that this is a step that we should all celebrate. From this center, relations between our countries will be strengthened, and the exchange of knowledge, researchers and speakers will be facilitated”, mentioned Professor Jorge Arosemena, Executive President of the City of Knowledge Foundation.

The American Center will take an innovative approach to the US engagement with Panama and will be home to EducationUSA, the advisory center for study opportunities in the US. EducationUSA is a network of more than 425 advisory centers for international students in more than 170 countries, on higher education opportunities in the United States.

Gladys Bernett, Senior EducationUSA Adviser, mentioned that “having the opportunity to study in the United States changes your life. Whether it is for a bachelor's, master's, doctorate, post-doctorate, a short course or an internship”.
