Webinar on A True Experience of Doing Math: The Spirit of Math Circles

The Panamanian Foundation for the Promotion of Mathematics (FUNDAPROMAT), the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) and The Global Math Project welcome you to join our Math Webinar in English #53, which will take place on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025 at 5 pm Panama time, 5 pm EST. This Webinar is free and open to the general public, which means that kids and adults of all ages are welcome to attend. 

In this Math Webinar in English, our invited speaker Taylor Yeracaris, Education Lead of The Global Math Project, will be presenting on "A True Experience of Doing Math: The Spirit of Math Circles." Doing mathematics is a fundamental human activity, just like art, sports, and music. But a true experience of doing mathematics is usually reserved only for professional mathematicians. In this webinar, we will explore how math circles can give anybody this experience of getting curious about questions, exploring phenomena, collaborating with peers, and proving theorems — and how you can share this experience by starting a math circle of your own!
