The City of Knowledge at the National Science Parks and Business Incubators Seminar
Janelle Castrellón, Project Facilitator of the International Technopark of Panama, participated in the National Science Parks and Business Incubators Seminar -XIX Workshop ANPROTEC, from the 24 to the 28 of October, held at the Event Center inside the Universidad Pontificia Católica (PUCRS), at Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Since 1987, the Brazilian Association of Science Parks and Business Incubators (ANPROTEC) is the Brazilian organization that represents the incubator generating entities and science parks. Its mission is to represent and defend the interests of these institutions in order to promote the socio-economic development of the country through the creation and strengthening of businesses that are based in knowledge and innovation.
The event gathered more than 500 representatives of Science Parks and Business Incubators of the South American region and hosted the Annual Meeting for the Latin American Division of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP), of which the City of Knowledge is a member. The event turned out to be a great opportunity to evaluate the evolution of Science Parks in the region, which allows for comparative analysis, alliances and cooperation projects.
