Students of the Academia Interamericana de Panamá visit the City of Knowledge

Last Thursday, October 27, senior students of the Academia Interamericana de Panamá (AIP) visited the City of Knowledge where they received a presentation on behalf of Executive Director, Jorge Arosemena, inside the Digital Room in the Convention Center.

Professor Arosemena, Executive Director of the City of Knowledge Foundation, talked to the students about the history of the City of Knowledge and how the project developed after Panama took control over the Canal and the adjacent areas. His presentation emphasized the mission of the City of Knowledge and how it is accomplished by being an organization of communities of knowledge made up of companies, academic programs, research centers and intergovernmental and non government organizations with common interests.

After the presentation the AIP students received a bus tour around campus were they had a chance to see the different work, recreational and sport areas of the City of Knowledge.  After the tour some students visited the installations of Florida State University (FSU), while others visited the Architecture and Design School of Latin America and the Caribbean (ISTHMUS); both of which gave the students an interesting presentation in order to prepare them for the future.
