Sowing of Flags at the City of Knowledge
The traditional Sowing of the Panamanian Flags took place last Friday, October 28, in front of the Main Building at the City of Knowledge, to commemorate the Nation’s month.
In spite of the rain, collaborators of the City of Knowledge Foundation placed a total of 300 flags making it a scenery worth admiring by all the assistants. The sowing took place on the field where the United States flag once flew and where the Panamanian (18 feet high and 24 feet long) flag stands today. This year the activity counted with the participation of the Music Band Víctor Raúl González of the Moisés Castillo Ocaña School of La Chorrera.
During this civic activity, in which the Panamanian values were promoted, the participants placed with pride the Nation’s flag in what used to be U.S. military grounds. At the end of the event a Panamanian traditional toast was made for all present.
