Road Safety Roundtable at the City of Knowledge
Fleet Forum, World Vision LACRO and the Global Association for Road Safety, with the support of the City of Knowledge Foundation, conducted a Road Safety Roundtable last Tuesday, January 31, in room 104 of the Convention Center inside the City of Knowledge.
During the event a joint vision of how road safety should be approached was developed with the purpose of reaching agreements on concrete initiatives between the organizations that attended. At the Roundtable, the executive officers of organizations that are impacted by the consequences of road accidents got involved in joint initiatives and committed to follow crucial steps in the future.
Issues related to road safety in countries with low to medium income have a severe impact on economic development and jeopardize the ability to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. All humanitarian and corporate transport organizations that face those dangers are seeking effective ways to mitigate the risks.
