With the support of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), headquartered at the City of Knowledge, the African Fashion Show, which served as a prelude to the celebration of Black Ethnicity Day, was successfully held.
This great event that took place at the Centennial Hall of the Hotel El Panama brought together people who love fashion and African descent culture.
With a splendid fashion show, models of different ages graced the catwalk with costumes by designers such as: Alex Adames, Jorge Lashman, among others. The event stressed the participation of women from the Black Ethnicity Foundation of Colón.
The show counted with the participation of international artists from countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, among others, and it was done for the benefit of the Black Ethnic Woman House of Culture located in the district of San Miguelito, Panama City.
All through the month of May, the OEI will continue to support various activities coordinated and aimed at highlighting and rescuing the Afro-Descendant culture of our country, leading towards May 30th with the celebration of Black Ethnicity Day.
