OIS launches Exprésate 2012 for third year in a row
The Organization of Ibero-American States, located inside the City of Knowledge, in partnership with various institutions, agencies and entities involved in the educational and cultural development of our country, launched to the media and special guests the Exprésate with Culture Art Contest 2012.
Exprésate began in 2010 led and sponsored by the OIS, international organization committed to the development of education and culture, and its National Director – Melissa Wong Sagel.
The event counted with the presence of her Excellency Mirna Vallejos, Deputy Minister of Education (MEDUCA), Laiza Johnson from the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES), Raúl Castro, Secretary General of the National Institute of Culture (INAC), Ana Arrue de Delgado, Deputy Director of the Special Training Institute of Panama (IPHE), Dr. Berta Torrijos de Arosemena, Chancellor of the Specialized University of the Americas (UDELAS), Ms. Susy de Varela, President of Nutre Hogar Foundation, Ana de Varela, President of Valórate Foundation and the Panamanian Book Chamber.
This years theme is «Express Yourself to create a world with access for all”, which seeks to stimulate student participation in these different categories:
– Musical Activities – Individual or group interpretations, vocalized, with an instrument or piece of music. – Performing Arts Activities – Dance. – Drawing Activities – Paintings and drawings – Literary Expressions Activities – Short stories and poetry.
Only one work per participant will be accepted. The registration period will start from March 7 to July 23, 2012, at the offices of the Ministry of Education.
The contest National Awards ceremony will be held in the framework of the VII International Book Fair on Friday, August 24, at the ATLAPA Convention Center.
