Official Course: Introduction to CMMI
On Friday, June 29, the official course Introduction to CMMI v1.3; issued by Viviana Rubinstein and Jorge Boria, Fellow Consultants of Alcenit Corporation, affiliated with the City of Knowledge; was successfully completed.
The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), who is Partner with Alcenit Corporation, is the most widespread model in the field of software development.
This training, open to the public, covered in detail the quality of the SEI model and explained the changes in the new version. Three intense days provided the framework for participants to learn the importance of quality in the software life cycle, the use of CMMI as a model for organizational development, the best practices in each process area and a preview of what’s expected at high maturity levels. Panama is the Central American country with the largest number of certified companies in CMMI (3) and the course served as the basis for maintaining leadership by increasing the number of organizations focused on excellence in the development of computer systems.
