OEI participates in launch of the 8th Panama International Book Fair

Ms. Melissa Wong, Resident Director of OEI, based at the City of Knowledge, attended the conference for the launch of the 8th Panama International Book Fair, to be held from August 22 to August 26, 2012, at the ATLAPA Convention Center.

The official launch of the 8th Panama International Book Fair took place at the Panamanian French Alliance where Melissa Wong was joined at the head table by Orit Betesh, President of the Panamanian Chamber of Books, Hughes Goisbault Claude, French Ambassador to Panama, and Maria Eugenia Herrera, Director of the National Institute of Culture.

The event provided those present with the framework of the various activities taking place at the International Book Fair.

OEI participates for the third consecutive year in the Book Fair by presenting the 3rd Express Art Competition whose motto is «Express yourself to create a world with access for all».

The Book Fair will be held from August 22 to August 26 and will count with the Express Yourself Contest Award. Thus, the OEI reaffirms once again its commitment to Panamanian society by highlighting its cultural and educational values.
