OEI and AECID committed to an education of Cultural Diversity
The Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) – based at the City of Knowledge – and the AECID, launched the facilitators training phase of the Support Project for Panamanian schools with people of African descent, at the headquarters of the UDELAS University at Santiago de Veraguas, with the participation of academics from different higher education institutions in the region.
Sixty university teachers from the UDELAS and the National University, among others, will be trained as facilitators of this project, whose primary objective is to provide educational tools for teachers to improve the quality of our students education, taking into account the African descent student population.
During the training sessions teachers will be instructed to develop methodological techniques for teaching math in a permanent and significant way from an intercultural context.
The OEI, through the IDIE, demonstrates its commitment to a participatory and inclusive education, which respects culture.
