New waste separation containers at the City of Knowledge
Carrying out the Sustainable Policy of the City of Knowledge Foundation and its solid waste management, new containers for the separation of waste have been placed in strategic locations of high circulation and visibility inside the campus. The waste separation and management campaign has started with collection stations at buildings 105 (Formation Center), 126 (Canal Tavern), 184 (Convention Center), 214 (restaurant area – two stations) and 231 (restaurant area). Each station has three different colored containers: ·Orange: For organic waste. ·Blue: For paper and carton. ·Green: For glass, plastic and metal (cans). In these last cases we advice that the waste is clean and dry.
Subsequently the number of stations, and type of containers, in other public use areas inside the City of Knowledge campus will increase.
