Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Knowledge Foundation
In recent days the City of Knowledge Foundation held the first meeting this year of its Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is one of the organizational and philosophical pillars of the City of Knowledge Foundation. Chaired by Dr. Juan David Morgan, it is comprised of individuals representing areas such as academic, business, labor, government and legislature that ensure a quality contribution to the management and monitoring of the objectives of the Foundation.
At the meeting the Executive Director presented a progress report on the achievements of 2011 and submitted for consideration by the trustees an overview of the challenges for 2012. An approval on operating and investment budget for 2012 was also submitted to the Board of Trustees. Additionally, the trustees participated in a tour of the campus on board of the new buses that will be part of the internal transport of the City of Knowledge. Special attention was given to new edifications, which will be inaugurated in the coming months, namely the first four modules of the Dormitories and the Commercial Plaza. Both complexes have been registered for LEED certification for their excellence in design and sustainable construction.
