Garzón, former mayor of Bogotá, at the Ateneo

On Tuesday, August 28, Radio Panama will carry out the forum «Development of the Municipalities of Panama in a growing country» at the City of Knowledge Ateneo.

The activity will include a conference by Luis Eduardo Garzón, who was Mayor of Bogotá between 2004 and 2007, and is considered one of the architects of the great transformation that occurred in that city over the past 15 years.

Garzón will speak on policies and projects adopted in recent years by the citizens and authorities of Bogotá, which have produced the current level of social and cultural development of the Colombian capital.

Special guests, Roxana Mendez, Mayor of the City of Panama, and Ivan Picota, City Council President, will join Mr. Garzón. Professor Edwin Cabrera, Director of Information Services of Radio Panama, will moderate the event.

The event is free but with invitation.
