Free internal bus service at the City of Knowledge
Starting Monday, December 3, 2012, the City of Knowledge will provide a free internal bus service for users, residents and visitors of the campus.
The City of Knowledge Foundation has developed a Sustainable Mobility and Integral Connectivity Plan that seeks to optimize existing road infrastructure for the benefit of people who work, visit or live at campus. That is why it has launched an internal bus system that aims to reduce traffic flow in the area and improve connectivity to all campus facilities.
The System will operate on a schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., from Monday through Friday, leaving the Bus Terminal every 10 minutes, with a special schedule on weekends. The routes will be identified by the blue, red and green colors, representing the different areas and buildings inside the City of Knowledge, with different types of services based on time of day and weather conditions.
The buses can accommodate 21 people (10 seated and 11 standing), and include a ramp that allows access for people with disabilities, plus they come equipped with all the security and comfort that this type of service requires.
