Drupalcamp Central America 2012 at the City of Knowledge
The City of Knowledge will host the 2012 Drupalcamp Central America edition on October 11, 12 and 13.
Drupalcamp Central America is a three-day activity that takes place annually in a Central American country that has been chosen by the Central American community that promotes and maintains Drupal, a website creation and management software. This year, Panama, and specifically the City of Knowledge, has been chosen to host this great event.
Drupalcamp Central America will conduct intensive training on the operation and basic technology of Drupal; between 30 to 40 conferences that will cover current and emerging topics as well as best practices and fundamental knowledge; «unconferences» where participants can offer a discussion, presentation or work on a certain topic they propose; and a programming contest whose prize are two Genesi Efika MX computers that will be awarded to the two people who have programmed the best module or patch during the three day event.
Drupal is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) and content management framework (CMF). It is used as a back-end system for at least 2.1% of all websites worldwideranging from personal blogs to corporate, political, and government sites. It is also used for knowledge management and business collaboration.
