Cooperation Agreement between FundAyuda and City of Knowledge Foundation

On Tuesday, September 18, the Foundation “Ayuda a Ayudar” (FundAyuda), through its President, Alfredo L. Maduro S., signed a cooperation agreement with the City of Knowledge Foundation, represented by its Executive Director, Jorge Arosemena.

With the signing of the agreement both foundations compromise to develop joint actions to strengthen their work. The City of Knowledge Foundation will promote and facilitate the dissemination of actions developed by FundAyuda to sensitize the male and female population in Panama about prostate and breast cancer, and what should be done for an early detection besides the proper care we must give our body to help fight these diseases.

According to Alfredo Maduro “the agreement is the first to be issued with an organization as important as the City of Knowledge, not only because of the quality of the people that make up the Foundation but for the quality of the companies participating in this city that has new affiliates nearly every day. Our aim is to continue to do what’s possible for more women and men to realize the need to take care of themselves. We are confident that this will be the first of many agreements with other companies in Panama, being the City of Knowledge the perfect communication platform between many people in our country».

FundAyuda (“Ayuda a Ayudar” Foundation) is a nonprofit organization that emerged out of the success of the Campaign for Awareness and Early Detection of Breast Cancer. Its first formal activity is the Pink Ribbon, and its success is largely due to donations, activities and volunteer work. In conjunction with this campaign, FundAyuda offers women of limited means who have had the experience of losing one or both breasts, the possibility of a reconstruction, at no cost or at a cost that they can cover.
