Computer Threats: The security of your digital assets and the Anonymous service attacks in Panama
On June 12, two technology conferences were held on «Computer Threats: The security of your digital assets and the Anonymous service attacks in Panama« at the Training and Business Center inside the City of Knowledge.
The speakers were Jaime Blanco, President of Ximark Technologies, and Eli S. Faskha, President of Soluciones Seguras. Both are part of the Board of Directors of the Panamanian Chamber for Information and Communication Technologies (CAPATEC).
Jaime Blanco developed the presentation – Emerging Threats: real security risks to your digital assets, case studies and recommendations. In it he explained the real threats to information of organizations that exist in the cloud, mobile devices and in other new technology trends. He also shared real life stories by Panamanian companies. At the end, he recommended actions to mitigate these risks.
On the other hand, Eli Faskha developed the presentation – Threats in Panama: Denial of service attacks by Anonymous. In it he explained how in recent months these attacks, which were news around the world, arrived in Panama. In particular he talked about the group Anonymous Panama that orchestrated an attack on several national sites, which were reported by various media in the country. The presentation showed in detail what happened during these attacks against Panamanian sites.
Businessmen, IT managers, professionals, researchers, teachers, students and the general public attended the event.
