City of Knowledge Presentation to Authorities of the USMA

On Wednesday, July 6, the City of Knowledge Foundation made a presentation about its diverse projects to a group of authorities of faculties and vice rectories of the Universidad Santa María la Antigua (USMA).

Dr. Guillermo Castro, Academic Director of the City of Knowledge Foundation, explained the concept of the Foundation as a support service center for knowledge management.  His presentation focused on the Foundation work areas, which include Information Technologies, Environmental Management, Human Development, Biosciences, Business Management and Entrepreneurship, and Global Services.

In turn, Isabel Donato, Project Manager of the Academic Department, made her contribution with a presentation that explained how the Foundation, through network management, focuses on generating, circulating and applying knowledge.  She also emphasized on the products and services that the City of Knowledge offers to promote cooperation between its affiliates and possible future collaborators.

To finalize, an interesting discussion group was formed between the participants, which generated in interesting ideas that will enable the USMA University and the City of Knowledge to form synergies in the near future.
