Cable Onda Sports Awards at the Ateneo

The 2nd Edition of the Cable Onda Sports Awards, the only national award ceremony that rewards sports and great national athletes, took place last Wednesday, November 30, at the Ateneo inside the City of Knowledge.

The ceremony, which rewarded the most outstanding Panamanian athletes of the year in 16 different categories, counted with a packed auditorium and was televised exclusively for Cable Onda Sports.

The award ceremony handed the “Fernando Eleta Almarán Award” to the athlete of the year, Mariano Rivera, thanks to his marvelous season at the Major League Baseball (MLB), where he achieved the record for saved games. The late Fernando Eleta Almarán was one of the creators of the City of Knowledge project and ex member of the Board of Trustees.
