Banco General will have a new branch in the Commercial Plaza at City of Knowledge

Banco General of Panama, represented by its Executive Support Vice President, Luis Garcia de Paredes Chapman, signed a contract as the first client of the City of Knowledge Commercial Plaza on Wednesday, February 15, in order to install a new branch of the bank in the first half of 2012. Professor Jorge Arosemena, Executive Director of the City of Knowledge Foundation, also signed the contract.

The Commercial Plaza will feature different types of restaurants, offering the widest range of cuisine in both variety and price, as well as bakery services, coffee shop, pharmacy, and a library, among other businesses. Placed inside the building registered for LEED certification, Banco General joins the values proposed by the Sustainability Policy of the Foundation to find harmony between social, economic and environmental practices.

Luis Garcia de Paredes expressed the bank’s complacency to be part of this new project due to their projections for the City of Knowledge and Clayton, and thus betting for the sustainable growth of the area. For his part, Professor Jorge Arosemena stressed that Banco General has been involved with the City of Knowledge for many years and that this initiative will be very good for its community and surroundings.

After signing the contract, the Executive Support Vice President of Banco General paid a visit to the Commercial Plaza, which is in its last stage of construction, and where the new branch will be located, and enjoyed a tour of the City of Knowledge campus.
