2nd National Chemistry in the Kitchen Competition

From Saturday, September 15, to Sunday, September 16, the «2nd National Chemistry in the Kitchen Competition» took place in The Panama International Hotel School at the City of Knowledge.

The National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT) and the Ministry of Education (Meduca), conducted the grand finale on Sunday, September 16, where a total of 6 Science Clubs were winners. This entertaining activity was organized especially for schools that applied their knowledge and skills in chemistry in the kitchen.

During the competition 60 Science Clubs from different provinces of the country took the opportunity to demonstrate, through the kitchen, principles of applied chemistry, as well as logic and mathematics in creating recipes, without neglecting creativity.

The National Competition of Science Clubs has as its main purpose to promote the creation and development of science clubs in primary and secondary schools in the country, as an approach to research in science and the scientific endeavor.

Winners Pre Media Level: 1st: Colegio Secundario de Renacimiento, Chiriquí. 2nd: Pedro Pablo Sánchez School, Panamá Oeste. 3rd: Felix Olivares School, Chiriquí.

Winners Media Level: 1st: Colegio San Vicente de Paul School, Panamá. 2nd: IPT Divalá School, Chiriquí. 3rd: Rodolfo Chiari School, Coclé.
