Without a doubt, today we have more knowledge than 20 years ago about the close interdependence between economic, environmental and social aspects, plus we have new technological responses that should ensure, among other things, the access of all citizens of the planet – which live today and will live tomorrow – to water, food, and clean and safe energy.

Topics such as social participation for sustainable development, sustainable watershed management, environmental education, extractivism in sustainable development and green economy and environmental businesses, were among the issues discussed during the 7th conversation cycle: Panama on the Road to Sustainable Development organized by the City of Knowledge Foundation (FCDS), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Panama Canal Authority (ACP).

In this seventh and final conversation entitled: Lessons learned and outcomes of Rio +20 we will focus on the discussion of some lessons learned based on the results raised last June at the Rio +20 Summit, for which we will have the participation of exhibitors of great experience and knowledge of the subject.
