Hasta: Agosto 30, 2012 - 10:00 pm
On Thursday, August 30, at 8:00 p.m. inside the City of Knowledge Ateneo, the Camerata Porteña will be performing the Suite «The Angel Lives», created by the young composer, arranger and director, Marcelo Rodríguez Scilla.
Established in 1986 as a tribute to one of the most important Tango musicians of the 20th century, Astor Piazzolla, the Camerata Porteña consists of contemporary Tango compositions by Mr. Piazzolla and its own members. The Orchestra is considered to be the «The Genuine Heirs of Piazzolla».
The quality of every performer is to be able to look for the truth of the composer and to transmit it to those who listen; those who succeed may be considered an authority on music, and the Camerata Porteña achieves this outstandingly, with their varied range of sound and conviction in anything they undertake.
«The Angel Lives», composition that will be presented at the Ateneo, is a subtle and intelligent reflection on the work of the supreme agitator of Tango, Astor Piazzolla. With powerful and delicate arrangements from Marcelo Rodríguez Scilla, the Camerata makes an impeccable selection of the most important pieces of Mr. Piazzolla.
