Panama will host the XIV Inter-American Meeting of Electoral Authorities
In a crucial year for democracy in the continent, Panama will host thiw important event
On November 13 and 14, the XIV Inter-American Meeting of Electoral Authorities will be held in Panama City. In this event, organized by the Department for Electoral Cooperation and Observation DECO / OAS and the Electoral Tribunal of Panama, more than 25 electoral bodies from 22 nations will meet to discuss the electoral processes that took place in 2019 in the hemisphere.
This meeting is very important because it will analyze good practices in electoral reform processes, as well as the different ways to prevent violence in these contexts.

With various activities such as a social media laboratory and a political communication workshop, the event includes important contributions from OAS staff, highlighting the participation of Mr. Gerardo de Icaza, Director of DECO / OAS on the second day of activities, in where in addition to a presentation, he will give the general conclusions of the event and the 2020 venue will be defined for the XV edition of the meeting.
The event will be held at the Sheraton Panama Hotel.
