November is Entrepreneurship month and it is celebrated around the world promoting entrepreneurship as a development force through activities that inspire, connect and inform all the actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Making of the City dedicates these Tuesdays in November to highlighting national entrepreneurship initiatives that meet those goals of inspiration and connection. In this edition we invite Sara Pitti from Agromonte Lirio and Aymeé Valdés Especias Valmar, two Panamanian entrepreneurs from the City of Knowledge Canal de Empresarias Program, who through their determination and effort challenge collective imaginations and fight against inequality, using their extraordinary power to break new ground in the business world.

Their role as business owners is key to generating opportunities, employment and income, which they generally reinvest in their families and communities. They are women who guide the helm of their companies.
