In this fourth and final series oy the year of Cinema Sānitās, the last installment of the pilot plan of this program is presented: the film Los Lobos, by Mexican director Samuel Leopoldo Kishi.
“Drop by drop we are reaching Panamanian homes, which in many cases were not aware of a high-caliber cinema that tells our stories, that talks about us and that teaches us what we are capable of. Cinema Sānitās, is an ambitious program that seeks to give cinema the space it should have to contribute in the reconstruction of our mood, our self-esteem, our lives and consequently our future”, shares Pituka Ortega Heilbron, executive director of the IFF Panama Foundation (FIP).
Los lobos, an autobiographical film by director Samuel Leopoldo Kishi, is a movie that denotes the realities of a single mother who seeks a better chance for her children by emigrating from Mexico to the United States. The circumstances of the migration are harsh and cruel, but the maternal instinct and the love of children towards the mother is the essence of the film, which also highlights that in the worst moments, human solidarity is present.
The fourth series of Cinema Sanitas will take place from December 11-13 and is free. The screening will be in VOD format.
