Vice Presidency for Operations

This Vice Presidency is responsible for establishing and carrying out a general operations plan for the City of Knowledge campus, ensuring its sustainability, optimization and efficiency.

It is in charge of the maintenance plan for the infrastructure and the open spaces on campus and the comprehensive plan for waste management, in addition to forecasting and operating all of the logistics and technological support for the City of Knowledge. In addition, it provides and manages the systems for security and surveillance, internal public transport, and central air conditioning, among others. It handles the key task of coordinating with the companies and public institutions that provide services such as water and sanitation, public transport, electric energy and telephone connections.

I lead the Refrigeration team, teaching everything I have learned in my 30 years of experience. I was able to achieve energy savings of almost $700,000 by implementing adjustments to the operation of the system. One of my greatest accomplishments at the City of Knowledge Foundation has been to provide follow-up for the supply and installation of the first magnetic cooler in Panama, installed in building 253 of the CdS
