International Organizations, Cooperation and NGOs

Human development is the issue that raises the most concern in the world. International Organizations (established by the States) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) work in a specialized but integrated way on planning and implementing steps to improve the conditions and living environment in Latin America and the Caribbean from the City of Knowledge.

The United Nations Regional Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean is already at work here, as are dozens of organizations and NGOs of worldwide renown. The closeness and broad range of services offered by the City of Knowledge ensure the exchange of ideas and good practices, and make up a basis for synergy generation among organizations.

The International Organizations and Cooperation Department not only gives support and coverage to organizations operating from the City of Knowledge, but also manages international cooperation projects funded by such international institutions as IDB, USAID, or the World Bank.

The number of International Organizations and regionally important NGOs concentrated in CDS is an opportunity for synergies in favor of human development.
