Calderón in love at the Ateneo
As part of their Central American tour, the Spanish theater company Guindalera presents “Calderón in love” in Panama, next Thursday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m.
The play, with a new version of the text reviewed by Jose Ma. Ruano, leads us on a tour of the work of Calderón de la Barca; through the history and the Madrid of the time, approaching the figure of Calderón to the public of today in a casual manner, using love, deception, madness and jealousy scenes drawn from the author's works.
Four actors/narrators in modern times come in and out of reality to fiction by framing the four main characters in the story, by imagining a love story starring Don Pedro, and accompanied by live music.
It is an event open to the public and with free admission. NO TICKETS REQUIRED.
