Peace Corps Panama seeks a Training Logistic Coordinator
Position Summary: The Training Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the administrative and logistical support to the Training Unit.
1.Manages day-to-day vendor relations (micro-level), such as: requesting quotes, billing, communicating requirements etc.; and coordinates these functions with the Training Manager and General Services Manager.
2.Prepares Work Orders & Blanket Purchase Authorizations for official training events and activities coordinating with Training Manager and Financial Assistant and directly supporting programming and training personnel.
3.Provides administrative assistance, as well as, revises monthly/quarterly accounting information regarding status of valid and outstanding commitments under Training’s line items.
4.Assists the Training Manager in the preparation of the general budget by assisting in the design of a budget plan that includes the language and technical programs’ needs to best implement official training events and activities.
5.In conjunction with the Training Manager and General Services Manager, supports in overseeing the training equipment inventory (chairs, tables, easels, etc.).
6.Collects and secures all non-consumable equipment, updates the inventory records, ensures training equipment is in place and makes formal status reports.
7.Maintains appropriate administrative systems to assure smooth logistical implementation of official training events and activities.
8.Acts as the primary liaison with host families coordinating with Language and Culture Coordinator and Training Manager.
9.Coordinates the host family program preparation with other programming and training personnel. This includes a coordinated implementation of the host family program including: assessment of the housing and family dynamic, selection of the participating families, housing preparation following Peace Corps safety guidelines and other general evaluation processes.
10.Oversees the training community host family program’s monitoring and evaluation system through field visits and surveys to assess the Trainees’ adjustment progress or challenges by: making recommendations to the Trainee, host family and/or other Peace Corps personnel visiting each host family at least once during each Pre-Service Training cycle, coordinating additional visits with other training personnel, and the evaluation of families by Trainees and the evaluations of Trainees by families through the coordination with other training staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates will be determined to meet the minimum qualifications of this advertisement if they submit a complete application by the deadline and demonstrate evidence of having met the following qualification criteria in their application materials:
·Education: Bachelor degree in administration or related field.
·Experience in the field: Two years of experience on administrative-logistics responsibility within the last five years.
·Language Proficiency: Speaks, reads, and writes Spanish and English (minimum of Working Knowledge of English)
·Experience within a multicultural organization/company: One year or more of experience working in a multicultural environment at an US Government Agency or other international organization/company (Preferred).
·Soft Skills: Strong organization and time management skills, interpersonal communication skills, willingness to take initiative, excels working in a team and individually, strong service attitude, personal integrity, flexibility, and a strong interest in Panama’s development.
·Computer literate: Ability to operate in core Microsoft Office applications including: advanced Excel and database skills; Word skills; and PowerPoint skills
·Schedule: Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule with evening and weekend hours when necessary and during emergencies, including traveling throughout Panama at times.
·Driving: A valid driver’s license and stated availability to travel (driving 4x4 official vehicles with manual transmissions).
·Work Permit: Applicants must possess a Panamanian work permit for at least 2 years unless Panamanian or US citizens.

Salary Range and Benefits
$1,164 – 1,324 (gross monthly salary commensurate with previous experience, plus bonus, health/life insurance, and transportation allowance). This is a Personal-Service Contractor (PSC)/local hire position.
