Planting of Flags at CdS

On Friday, October 27, the City of Knowledge Foundation held its traditional planting of Panamanian flags.

In words from its Executive President, Jorge Arosemena, "this 14th event of Panamanian flag planting takes on greater significance as it helps us remember that we are in a territory that used to be a military base. It is very important that our Panamanian and foreign friends who are part of our community know that these flags represent our values as a nation. We must reaffirm a new inclusive and fair Panama where transparency and non-corruption are the norm and not the reverse. I would like to dedicate this planting to Mrs. Lorenza, already retired, who was with us from the beginning always supporting us day by day quietly and honestly, with a huge commitment to create a better society. Lorenza is a citizen who allows us to glimpse that the country can be better every day.”

After planting 300 flags with the help of employees of the City of Knowledge Foundation and other entities, the event continued with the presentation from the band of the Moisés Castillo Ocaña school of La Chorrera, as well as a tamborito by the City of Knowledge Folkloric Ensemble.
