Ministry of Science and Technology of China visits CdS

A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST), led by Mr. Ye Dongbai, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, visited the City of Knowledge to meet with its Executive President, Jorge Arosemena.

The delegation led by Dongbai was composed of Ms. Zhuang Jia, Director of the Division of American and Oceanic Affairs of the Department of International Cooperation; Ms. Li Pei, Associate Consultant of the Division of American and Oceanic Affairs, Department of International Cooperation; Mr. Zheng Di, Program Officer of the Division of American and Oceanic Affairs of the Department of International Cooperation; and Mr. Zhang Xiaowei, Program Officer of the China Science and Technology Exchange Center.

Ye Dongbai and delegation took the opportunity to become familiar with the City of Knowledge's mission of being an innovative community that drives social change through humanism, science and business. Also, they were able to see how the CdS project works to achieve a prosperous, inclusive, democratic and sustainable future for Panama and the world.

About Ye Dongbai

• In April 1986, YE began working for the State Science and Technology Commission (later renamed MOST, Ministry of Science and Technology) first in the Personnel Department and then in DIC.
• After service at the Chinese Embassy in Japan as second secretary, YE returned to China and headed the Japan Division of the State Science and Technology Commission and then the Asia and Africa Division, MOST.
• He served as Minister Counselor of the Embassy of China in Japan, Vice Mayor of the city of Anshan in Liaoning Province and Counselor at the General Consulate of China in New York.
