Pharmacovigilance and post-registration medication controls
Absorption Systems Panama, with the support of SENACYT and the City of Knowledge Foundation, held the launch of the IDAS-2 Model and the conference: Pharmacovigilance and post-registration medication controls, on Thursday, March 15 at the City of Knowledge Holiday Inn Hotel.
The conference sought to understand the relationship between a national and regional pharmacovigilance strategy and the implementation of post-registration medication controls, which is one of the most important impulses to guarantee the quality of the medicines that reach patients.
During the event, regional and local experiences were shared on this topic, and the IDAS-2 system was launched, a model that integrates dissolution and permeability, and that has been developed and patented by Absorption Systems with the support of SENACYT.
"IDAS-1 lacked volume comparisons, because it uses smaller volumes, and over time IDAS-2 was reached, which is a model that provides us with more accurate data. So together with SENACYT, we were able to develop a model that would be favorable for Panama to generate scientific knowledge that can be exported, working with the Food and Drug Administration FDA," said Antonio Arias, General Manager of Absorption Systems.
