The City of Knowledge Foundation and the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico invite you to the conference Videogames: Beyond the virtual and the fun, which will take place on Tuesday, November 7, at the City of Knowledge Convention Center.

The fascinating world of video games transcends the experience of fun. In this conference we will explore different scenarios where video games have had a masterly effect in areas such as health, psychology and education, among others. We will also share experiences where videogames have had a transforming effect.

About the speaker

José A. Rodríguez Ortega is a "videogamer convert". He went from seeing the experience of video games as a waste of time, to see it as a transformative tool. He currently serves as director of the Department of Computing at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, soon to be at the City of Knowledge under the name INTER PANAMA.
